Every year, Wallyford Community Council undertakes a range of activities to raise funds for the community Christmas lights and torchlight parade. The display costs about £6,500 per year and so far £2,757.62 has been raised. The Sponsor a Christmas Light fundraising campaign has now been launched, as a spokesperson explained: “This is our main fundraising activity for 2026, with 35 lights available to sponsor.” The £100 sponsorship cost includes: a personalised sign displayed alongside the Christmas light (including a contact phone number); and a photograph of the sign and Christmas light shared on social media. The deadline to sponsor a Christmas light is Friday, October 30.
