Preston Mill in East Linton, Gosford House in Longniddry and Newhailes House in Musselburgh, all of which appeared in the show, are among 48 sites included in the newly launched guide, Scotland: The Home of Outlander. Developed by VisitScotland in collaboration with Sony Pictures Television, the guide highlights filming locations from all eight seasons of the show, which concluded earlier this year. "Scotland is a big part of the Outlander story, so it feels right to call it the Home of Outlander. "There's no doubt that Outlander has had an extraordinary impact on Scottish tourism on the global stage and is a clear example of the power of screen tourism." Outlander’s influence is part of a wider trend in screen tourism, which is estimated to be worth £161.4 million to the Scottish economy, according to Screen Scotland.
