Drummohr Cemetery was built in 2023 but its opening was delayed by several years to allow the ground to settle. East Lothian Council has now confirmed that, going forward, Drummohr Cemetery will be the cemetery for any new lairs, as Prestonpans Cemetery is now full. Lair owners at Prestonpans Cemetery will be allowed to continue to have full access for interments. An East Lothian Council spokesperson said: “Existing lair owners will continue to have full access for interments at Prestonpans Cemetery whenever required.
