The Walt Disney Company announced a new content-sharing deal with TikTok to bring fan-created videos to the Disney+ app. In the coming months, Disney+ subscribers in the US will start seeing Disney-themed videos from TikTok creators within the app’s ‘Verts’ video feed. However, the deal ultimately fell through after OpenAI shut down Sora to refocus its resources on a new “super app.” ““The best storytellers are fans first,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer at The Walt Disney Company. To attract the best creators, Disney and TikTok will also operate together the Disney Creator Ambassador Program, which will offer special rewards, access to exclusive events, and more to participants.
