There have been five confirmed detentions by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement across Central Oregon in the last month. “We have been bracing for this for a while,” said Rowan Jones, immigration and advocacy program manager of the Latino Community Association. All have been taken to the Tacoma Northwest Detention Center, the Latino Community Association confirmed Friday. Their identities were not disclosed either by the Latino Community Association or the federal government. The Latino Community Association confirmed the five Central Oregon detentions through detainee locator information, as well as tips from trusted partners like the Portland Immigrant Right Coalition of Oregon.
