A controversial New York law aimed at preventing on-duty law enforcement officers from wearing masks has hit a major roadblock after a federal judge temporarily blocked the measure from taking effect.
Supporters argued it would increase transparency and accountability, while opponents said New York doesn't have the authority to regulate how federal officers enforce immigration laws.
