A series of confrontations disrupted J’ouvert celebrations on Old Parham Road Monday morning, leaving four people requiring medical attention in two unrelated incidents. He later collapsed and was taken by Emergency Medical Services to the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre for treatment. Another disturbance was reported roughly 40 minutes later, involving a man from Pigott’s Village and two people from Glanvilles. The Pigott’s resident is accused of striking the Glanvilles man with a bottle, while a woman from Glanvilles was also injured during the dispute. The Glanvilles man allegedly responded by using a cutlass, leaving the Pigott’s resident with an injury to his hand.
