A 44-year-old Florida man was arrested and charged after he allegedly denied his dog food and water and left the canine to die outside in extreme heat. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that the dog later passed away after it was taken to a facility to receive emergency veterinary care. Never leave animals outside without adequate shade, fresh water, and supervision during hot weather, as doing so can have fatal consequences,” the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office also advised people to avoid leaving animals outside for prolonged periods when there’s extreme heat.
