Gabonese artist Naila Opiangah is emerging as a notable figure in the international art scene, celebrated for her captivating paintings of Black female nudes that confront and redefine notions of identity, beauty, and freedom.
“When asked how I see my work, whether it’s personal, political, spiritual, or all of the above.
Roach said of her, “My suit is in collaboration with a Ghanaian artist, Naila Opiangah.
“And when I went to Ghana this year, I met this amazing artist, Naila Opiangah.”
The artist has also been bold and vocal about racial inequalities in the art and architecture space.
