Cygnet Hospital Colchester, which supports men with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, hosted a special event on Friday. The celebration included traditional South Asian dishes prepared by staff, colourful decorations and a fashion show where team members showcased traditional clothing. Visitors also had the chance to take part in a henna station and learn more about South Asian cultures through a series of educational displays. Lots of people attended and our service users were really enthusiastic about how good the food was and how much they enjoyed the day. The event formed part of wider South Asian Heritage Month celebrations and provided an opportunity for staff and service users to come together, learn from one another and celebrate different cultures.
