Acting Military Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI, Captain Mohammed Goni, announced this in a statement issued on Wednesday in Maiduguri.
During preliminary debriefing, he said the surrendered individuals disclosed that the sustained military pressure mounted by troops on terrorist enclaves significantly influenced their decision to surrender.
“During preliminary debriefing, the minor also attributed his decision to surrender to the sustained operational pressure being maintained by troops against terrorist elements within the theatre.
The military spokesman added that the surrendered individuals are currently in military custody and are undergoing preliminary profiling and debriefing.
“Operation HADIN KAI remains resolute in sustaining aggressive offensive operations against terrorist elements across the North East.
