(Bloomberg) -- A prep school less than 10 miles away from the planned new home of the US Space Command is looking to borrow $45 million to keep up with growth in Alabama's biggest city.
Huntsville, nicknamed Rocket City, is also the home of the US Army's Redstone Arsenal and National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Marshall Space Flight Center.
The prekindergarten through grade 12 school has grown alongside America's arms and space programs.
Like many independent prep schools, the Randolph School faces increasing competition to attract new students amid a nationwide decline in the population of school-aged kids.
Many graduates go on to attend Auburn University and the University of Alabama.
