The Strathclyde Partnership for Transport has allocated £567,586 of funding to community groups across its area as part of the Transport Scotland-funded SPT People & Place Programme Community Fund. This funding is intended to support 29 community groups working to influence sustainable travel behaviour change through localised projects. Up to £14,503 has been awarded to Belville Community Garden Trust to support its Bellville Bike Bank project. The initiative provides free bicycle repairs, refurbished bikes, and community cycling sessions to support struggling residents and promote active travel. Up to £12,000 has also been awarded to Inverclyde Community Development Trust to support its Community Tracks project.
