Star Lei (Schultheiss) Jarvis passed away peacefully in South Haven, MI August 2, 2026. Star was born January 19, 1940 in Grand Rapids, MI to Fred A. Schultheiss and Faye Dawn (Toot) Schultheiss. Star was also intensely devoted to learning local history, serving as both researcher and curator of the Cheboygan and Niles Historical Museums. She is survived by her five children and their spouses: Joy (Mike) Stewart; Margo (Rick) Miller; Dan (Adrienne) Jarvis; Eric (Jennifer) Jarvis; Jennifer (Brent) Frazer; 21 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren.
