SRINAGAR: Senior IAS officer Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, who has held several key administrative positions in Jammu and Kashmir, has been appointed Chairperson of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), according to an order issued by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs on August 5. Before his appointment to the NDMC, Dwivedi served as Additional Secretary (Establishment) in the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). He has held senior positions in both the Central Government and Jammu and Kashmir during his career. In Jammu and Kashmir, Dwivedi served as Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department (GAD), Commissioner/Secretary of Industries and Commerce, and Secretary of Health and Medical Education. At the Centre, Dwivedi served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry before taking up the post of Additional Secretary in the DoPT.
