SRINAGAR: The Traffic Police Headquarters, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday issued a detailed traffic advisory for August 6, informing commuters that traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) and several other routes will remain regulated due to road maintenance, ongoing repair works and the Amarnath Yatra. According to the advisory, traffic on NH-44 will operate in a regulated manner, with movement depending on road and weather conditions. The traffic police advised commuters to undertake journeys on NH-44 only after confirming the latest road status from the Traffic Control Units in Jammu, Srinagar or Ramban. The advisory also covered other major routes, including the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri (SSG) Road, Mughal Road and the Srinagar-Leh Highway. Movement on these roads will remain subject to weather conditions, road surface stability and clearance by the concerned authorities.
