Multiple fatalities reported in Caswell County shooting; SBI assisting investigationCASWELL COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Authorities are investigating a shooting that left multiple people dead and another person injured Wednesday morning in Caswell County. The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded shortly before 8 a.m. to a call for service at 352 Brooks Road in Prospect Hill. The Sheriff’s Office said investigators were working to notify the victims’ next of kin before releasing additional information. The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation with assistance from the SBI, the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the Prospect Hill Fire Department, Caswell County EMS and the Person County Sheriff’s Office. Officials said additional information will be released through future press releases and the social media accounts of the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office and the SBI as it becomes available.
