On Wednesday (August 12), the moon will pass in front of the sun, leaving only around 10 per cent visible. This will be the biggest eclipse on these shores in 27 years. The moon about to pass in front of the sun creating a total solar eclipse. Free eclipse glasses will be provided. The UK Health Security Agency has stressed that nobody should look directly into the sun during the eclipse, even wearing regular sunglasses.
