The DIY retailer issued the product recall notice after a fault was detected within a batch of white electric B&Q table fans sold throughout the record-breaking heatwave in spring and summer. There is a risk of electric shock and fire as some parts could overheat. This is due to a fault within the oscillation mechanism that can damage internal wiring, the Office for Product Safety and Standards said. In some cases an electrical component may overheat leading to a fire or electric shock risk.’
