A 75-year-old Sturgeon Bay woman died Monday after she was struck while crossing the street in downtown Sturgeon Bay. The crash occurred shortly after 11 a.m. at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Michigan Street. After the pedestrians cleared, she began her turn without seeing the 75-year-old woman, who was crossing from west to east in the south crosswalk. She was taken to Door County Medical Center before being transferred to a Green Bay hospital, where she later died. The Sturgeon Bay Police Department extended its condolences to the victim's family.
