If your future dreams involve a fire station, Algoma City Administrator Matt Murphy wants to hear from you. Restaurants, breweries, offices, retail storefronts or a mixed-use development with residential space upstairs have all been floated as preferred uses for the building. He believes it has a future as a commercial property. Murphy adds that the city has already received interest in the building, which carries a minimum bid of $150,000. He hopes the sale can be completed before the end of the year.
