Most starting pitchers would kill for the sort of debut Tarik Skubal had with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday night. For the two-time Cy Young-winner, though, it was just another night at the office. He was pulled before the bottom of the seventh inning at 85 pitches, though the Dodgers ultimately lost the game, 5-1, and Skubal took the loss. Suzuki was then thrown out at home plate after a grounder to second base but Bregman scored on a high infield chopper one batter later. That was the only damage in the frame but it was enough to give the Cubs a 2-1 lead that they wouldn't relinquish.
