Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry has been involved in an "ongoing" conversation with his team's front office about the direction of the organization, The Athletic's Nick Friedell reported Wednesday. Friedell reported one team source said "it's not like Curry isn't aware of what Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy and the rest of the front office are trying to accomplish." "The conversation between the star and the team has been ongoing — for years," Friedell added. Fridell's report follows speculation about Curry's thoughts on the Warriors' plans after the organization fell short of the playoffs before missing out on signing star free agent LeBron James. ESPN's Anthony Slater and ESPN's Shams Charania both recently reported there is "mutual interest" between Curry and the Warriors in signing an extension Aug. 29.
