Walhalla councilman Josh Holliday has announced that, as the result of his new job in the Oconee public schools, he will step down from his part-time job as city councilman, effective today. Holliday is going to be missed by Mayor Tim Hall. The mayor called Holliday a voice of reason, integrity, and sound judgment. And, to serve as interim city administrator, the city council last night hired former Westminster administrator Chris Carter while employment discussions continue with candidates for the position. And, according to Mayor Hall, the city council late last week hired city clerk Ed Halbig as city planning director.
