Compared with the earlier Lenovo ThinkPad X9-15, the new Lenovo ThinkPad X9-15p Gen 1 changes little in terms of design. This black port section is a bit wider on the X9-15p to accommodate the additional ports and larger cooling fans. The X9-15p also has up-firing speakers with large speaker grilles to the left and right of the keyboard. It offers the premium feel of an all-metal design, and the chassis components can barely be twisted or bent. The hidden drop-down hinges are also excellent: They allow the screen to open fully flat (180 degrees), and there is barely any wobble.
