Following the police request, various mosques in the districts of Bengal removed loudspeakers.
Police held meetings with mosque committees in several districts over the last few days.
“The police approached mosque committees and asked them to remove the loudspeakers, so many are doing so.
Meanwhile, ISF MLA Naushad Siddiqui has accused the state police of approaching mosque committees without written orders.
“Since morning I got so many calls that the police are asking mosque committees to remove the loudspeakers.
