It comes hours after Hasan virtually attended a press conference alongside the country’s former prime minister, Sheikh Hasina, in India.
Quoting security and local sources, Dhaka Tribune reported that a petrol bomb was thrown at the upper portion of the iron door on the southern side of the house.
It cannot be confirmed at this stage whether it was a petrol bomb.
Posting a purported video of the incident, the Bangladesh Awami League in a social media post said, “Torching residences : the cost of attending Awami League press conference.
This calculated attack is yet another testament to ongoing genocidal campaign against Awami League activists in the name of democracy building project, hallmarks of fascism.”
