The body of a man was recovered from the sea near Panormitis Bay, off the island of Symi, the Greek Coast Guard announced on Wednesday. The body was picked up by a Coast Guard patrol boat during a Coast Guard operation and will be taken to the Rhodes General Hospital for autopsy. Authorities will investigate the circumstances of this incident, while no further information concerning the identity of the body has been given. However, there is speculation that the body may belong to a German national who went missing on Sunday, when all eight yacht passengers jumped into the sea for a swim and the yacht was drifted apart by currents. Some survivors had managed to reach the Panorminits area on the island of Symi in south-eastern Aegean Sea.
