The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is giving its front-line fleet a new look for the first time in more than three decades. RCMP Commissioner Mike Duheme said the new look prioritizes public safety and visibility while connecting the modern fleet to the force’s historic identity. The redesigned cruisers will begin appearing on Canadian roads later this summer. Provinces, territories and municipalities served by the RCMP will have the option to include local identifiers on the vehicles. Both current and redesigned cruisers will operate side-by-side during the transition period.
