John Klar has long had a prominent and at times provocative voice in conservative politics in Vermont. Klar was among 21 new members appointed to the panel, who hail from around the country and all serve as volunteers. Klar was chosen, an EPA spokesperson said in an email, not just because of his farming experience but also his leadership in the MAHA movement. Klar made the case in an interview that he’s found a new political home in the MAHA movement. The EPA news release announcing Klar’s and others’ appointments to the advisory panel also described Klar as part of an organization called “MAHA Farmers Hub.”
