Cromer Litter Pickers formed after beaches in Norfolk were blighted with rubbish during this year's heatwaves. North Norfolk District Council loaned the group equipment, including pickers, hoops and bags. Hi-vis vests were donated by Jason Sterne Home Improvers and Mr Sterne joined the group of 13, donning hi-vis tops on the pier. Tony Bates formed the group after reports of beach litter. The volunteer group is planning on organising regular picks, mainly focusing on the beach and promenade.
