Licking County residents will have the opportunity to safely dispose of household hazardous waste during a special collection event on Saturday, Aug 29. The Licking County Recycling Department announced the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Licking County Highway Department garage complex, located at 775 East Main Street in Newark near the intersection of East Main Street and O’Bannon Avenue. Andrea Krava, director of the Licking County Recycling Department, expressed enthusiasm about the program. “We are excited to finally hold a household hazardous waste collection and disposal event for residents here in Licking County,” Krava said.
