SpringboksSpringbok coach Rassie Erasmus believes that South Africa and Argentina are in the same boat when it comes to player welfare and workload, and says that a more aligned international calendar would help. Speaking to reporters after naming his side for Saturday’s Test away to Argentina, Erasmus was specifically asked about Los Pumas missing several players for the fixture at the request of their European clubs. “I guess this weekend we also have… I think Argentina’s got like 15 players out, and we’ve got about 15 players out. “So I think us and Argentina are more or less in the same boat. And if you don’t rotate like Felipe [Contepomi] is doing this weekend, and we are doing this weekend, then the players will definitely burn out.”
