Renard has been appointed as the new head coach of the Ivory Coast national team, replacing Emerse Fae, whose contract expired at the end of July. Renard's return to Cote d'IvoireIt marks the Frenchman's second spell in the role, having previously managed the team between 2014 and 2015. "This appointment reflects the Federation's determination to build on the achievements secured by the National Team in recent years, while continuing to pursue the ambitions set for Ivorian football on the African and international stage." Notably, Renard won the 2015 AFCON during his previous spell with Cote d'Ivoire.
