ENCINITAS — Local San Diego breakfast chain Breakfast Republic is closing three locations in San Diego County, including one in Encinitas, as owners pursue dining ventures in other parts of Southern California and Texas, restaurant owner Rise & Shine Hospitality Group announced. Aug. 9 will be the last day of operation for the Breakfast Republic locations in Encinitas, Ocean Beach, and San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, Rise & Shine said in a press release. Other Breakfast Republic locations in San Diego will remain open, including in East Village, Liberty Station, Mission Valley, Pacific Beach, and Scripps Ranch, along with six others outside of San Diego.
