The 176 victims abducted during the February 3 attack on Woro and Nuku communities in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State have regained their freedom. Celebrating their release, the state government credited President Bola Tinubu, security forces and others involved in securing their freedom. The victims were abducted when suspected Boko Haram-linked extremists invaded the rural communities of Woro and Nuku on motorcycles on February 3. The attack, regarded as one of the deadliest recorded in Kwara State, reportedly claimed more than 200 lives, while several other people were injured.
