While I'm sure the Illinois State Fair has its fans, the Wisconsin State Fair is practically Rockford's favorite, so this current ranking is kind of an insult. It's mostly mildly infuriating, and even though the Minnesota State Fair has got great eats, Wisconsin has cream puffs, cheese curds, and enough fried food on hand to make a cardiologist quietly walk out. New York, Florida, Texas, Alaska, and North Carolina state fairs all landed in the top 10. Somewhat surprising was Illinois being completely left off the top 10, but as a Rockford resident, it's OK because a cruise to the Wisconsin State Fair, located in Milwaukee, is actually closer than staying in the state and driving far south to Springfield for the Illinois State Fair.
