SHELBURNE FALLS — Author, interfaith minister and women’s leadership activist Sarah Pirtle will ask people to consider the women in their lives who have lifted them up and helped them become who they are in her new one-woman show, “Growing Up Girl of Hope.” The program will end with a few more songs about the “visionary women” who have inspired Pirtle in her own life. Throughout the program, Pirtle will tell tales of different women, such as Anita Pickett, the founder of Rowe Camp, who inspired her. I’m delighted we’ll be launching it here,” Ann McCormack, director of Water Street Barn, said in a statement. Following the performance at the Water Street Barn, Pirtle hopes to offer the program to libraries and places of worship, and schedule additional performances.
