MiCA Alliance Takes Aim at Unlicensed EU Crypto FirmsEnglish Deutsch日本語繁體中文한국어ไทยPortuguêsItalianoFrançaisEspañolThe MiCA Crypto Alliance launched a searchable CASP tracker on 5 August 2026, turning ESMA’s register of authorized crypto-asset service providers into a more accessible, filterable public directory. The tool arrives five weeks after MiCA’s main transition period closed on 1 July, a deadline after which unlicensed providers must stop onboarding new EU clients. Germany leads with 69 licensed providers, followed by France (35), the Netherlands (29), Cyprus (25), and Malta (22). The independent tracker at CASPTracker.eu flags exchanges such as Binance and MEXC as lacking full MiCA authorization, while Bybit, Kraken, OKX, and Bitpanda display confirmed licences. Several EU member states, including Poland, Romania, Hungary, and Greece, show zero licensed CASPs, suggesting either limited adoption or ongoing national-level authorization delays.
