Overview: He replaces Emerse Fae who guided the Elephants to the Afcon 2023 trophy on home soil and helped the team reach the round of 32 of the World Cup in United States, Canada and Mexico.
French man Herve Renard has been re-appointed as the national team of the Cote d’Ivoire eleven years after he won the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with the Elephants.
Renard handled Tunisia for two matches in the FIFA World Cup 2026 following the axing of Sabri Lamouchi.
Renard has previously coached Angola, Zambia, Morocco and Saudi Arabia national teams and won the Afcon in 2012 with the Chipolopolo.
The Ivorians begin their qualifying campaign next month with a crunch clash at home to fellow World Cup side, and neighbours, Ghana before another Group C game with Somalia four days later.
