South Africa will face Morocco in a blockbuster quarterfinal clash after the former confirmed their slot in the last eight. The Banyana Banyana earned a hard-fought 1-0 win over Burkina Faso on Tuesday in their final Group B fixture. Experienced forward Thembi Kgatlana scored the lone goal of the game in the 21st minute to fire South Africa into the quarterfinals. Banyana Banyana will therefore face Morocco who topped Group A on seven points in a repateat of the 2022 WAFCON final that South Africa won. In the other quarterfinal clash confirmed, Ivory Coast who topped Group B will face Algeria who finished second in Group A.
