['Talks Team']
RTRFM
July is Disability Pride Month, a time to celebrate the different ways people experience disability and highlight the importance of identity, community and belonging.
Across Breakfast we have been sharing achievements, spotlighting exciting research and getting across great local stories from right here in Boorloo!
Today we’re wrapping up our series, focusing on holistic support for invisible disabilities and neurological conditions, from medical treatment to community.
First, Pam Boland chatted with MSWA CEO Melanie Kiely about where we’re at in WA in regards to MS and other neurological conditions and their diagnoses, and the ongoing research into treating and preventing MS.Next, Pam spoke with Lauren McLennon, who has been living with an MS diagnosis for nine months, and MSWA Community Engagement Manager Emily Ace on finding community through this experience.
