DONIPHAN — Ripley County’s newly elected Recorder of Deeds Christi Kirby was excited and relieved by the Tuesday election results. “We brought the Recorder’s Office up to par with modern technology and improved the way the office serves the people of Ripley County. An interim recorder was named to fill the role pending the outcome of the court case, which was brought by Ripley County Prosecutor Matt Michel. Kirby is a business owner and part-time teacher in the Ripley County R-III school district. Her mother, June Watson, served as Ripley County Recorder of Deeds for 16 years.
