Mark Evans ("We can't tolerate radical citizens", Letters, 28/7), are you suggesting that Americans and Israelis should forfeit the protection of the law for murdering children and brainwashing their own kids? And the Right Wing with their obnoxious, racist ideology? Surely the ones who think like that only make up a small percentage, and punishing the entire group for the actions of the few is wrong. When did the government ever say the law stops them from protecting the community? Do we really want any government to use their power to protect us against right-wing radicals like One Nation, even if they haven't committed any crimes?
