The Toronto Blue Jays had a busy trade deadline, headlined by a deal that sent starting pitcher Kevin Gausman to the Chicago Cubs, among other moves. One name that many expected could also be moved at the trade deadline was Blue Jays veteran George Springer, but he ultimately ended up staying with the team despite rampant speculation. Now, Blue Jays manager John Schneider has gotten one hundred percent real on how he feels with Springer still on the team. I think he's swinging the bat faster, he's moving better… he's just in a better headspace for one, and he's getting moving back to how it was last year in the batter's box. Instead, Springer will remain on the struggling Blue Jays, who currently sit at 53-61 on the 2026 season.
