The Ohio State football program is currently gearing up for the upcoming 2026 college football season, which is slated to get underway in one month.
The Buckeyes are hoping to bounce back after losing two straight games to conclude last season, including in the playoffs against the Miami Hurricanes.
Recently, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day stopped by ESPN's The Pat McAfee Show and broke down how he is trying to rebuild his team into a championship contender.
In 2024-25, Day and the Buckeyes broke through and won a national championship, largely dominating the competition in the playoffs that year before holding on vs Notre Dame in the big game to secure the win.
Last year, Day finally was able to beat rival Michigan in The Game to conclude the regular season, but that ended up being Ohio State's last win of the year, as the Buckeyes dropped a thriller against Indiana in the Big Ten Championship Game and then were upset by Miami in their first playoff game.
