BUFORD, Ohio — The Highland County Health Department’s mobile clinic will visit two southern Highland County communities Wednesday, offering free immunizations, blood pressure checks and other basic health services to residents ahead of the new school year. The Care-A-Van will be parked at Buford Church of Christ from 10 a.m. to noon, then move to Lynchburg Park from 1 to 4 p.m., the health department said in a Facebook post. Staff will offer back-to-school and other child and adult immunizations, blood glucose readings, blood pressure checks, head lice screening, and flu and COVID-19 vaccines, along with limited lab work, according to the post. Wednesday’s stop is part of a monthly rotation that brings the mobile clinic to Buford and Lynchburg on the first Wednesday of each month through Sept. 23, according to the health department’s published schedule.
