Air Peace has attributed disruptions to its flight operations from Abuja to the failure of a baggage screening machine at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) domestic terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. In a statement issued on Wednesday, the airline said the equipment malfunction had significantly slowed baggage screening and loading operations, leading to delays in several scheduled departures from the nation’s capital. Air Peace said it was working closely with the relevant airport authorities to address the problem and restore normal flight operations as quickly as possible without compromising safety. The carrier noted that efforts were ongoing to reduce the impact of the disruption on passengers and return its flight schedule to normal. The airline added that it would continue to provide updates as the situation evolves.
