Over 1,500 secondary school girls from across the country will step inside local tech workplaces this month as part of Tech Women’s ShadowTech26 programme.
ShadowTech aims to give girls in Years 9 to 11 a first-hand look at the people, pathways, and possibilities within New Zealand’s technology sector.
The programme has run since 2014 and is organised by Tech Women, which is part of industry body Tech New Zealand.
Students from more than 90 schools will spend a day with local tech employers, gaining hands-on insight into the wide range of career pathways available across the sector.
