Lookout Mountain Unit overall is about 62% private land, a much higher percentage than most other units in the region. ODFW hasn’t sold hunting tags for either the Lookout Mountain or Burnt River Canyon bighorn herd since the disease outbreak started. Previously the agency issued three tags per year for Lookout Mountain, and one for the Burnt River Canyon.
